Klopp: Oxlade-Chamberlain like a new signing for Liverpool

Klopp: Oxlade-Chamberlain like a new signing for Liverpool Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be like a new signing for Liverpool in 2019-20 after recovering from injury, according to boss Jurgen Klopp.

Among these, knee injuries are the most common. However, experts agree that the best thing to do if you fall victim to a knee injury is to seek help and to know the signs that signal something serious . Here are seven reasons that should prompt an immediate visit to your doctor’s office.

Knee injuries can often be treated at home, but some are serious enough to need surgical intervention. The cartilage is the tissue that cushions the bones of the knee joint, helping ligaments slide easily over the bones and protecting the bones from impact.

Jurgen Klopp has confirmed Paul Glatzel suffered a “serious” knee injury in Liverpool’s 6-0 pre-season opening win at annual opponents Tranmere Rovers.

The 18-year-old striker was introduced at half-time but had to leave the field on 78 minutes after suffering what looked to be an issue with his knee.

Klopp has now confirmed Liverpool will be assessing his injury to determine how long he could be facing on the sidelines, telling the official club website:

“Unfortunately, Paul Glatzel got seriously injured, which is a shame. He is a wonderful kid, a wonderful player, unbelievable. The week we saw him [at Melwood] helped already, so when he is back he will be one of my boys because I really like what I saw.”

It’s clear Klopp thinks highly of Glatzel and the injury comes at a really unfortunate time, handing a blow to his chances of impressing the German manager this season.

He netted 23 goals in 38 games for both the U23s and U18s last term and starred in the FA Youth Cup Final where Liverpool defeated Manchester City on penalties.

It’s very unlikely he’ll be fit for the start of the new season though, unless Klopp was simply fearing the worst.

Liverpool lose Jaros for pre-season through injury.
Liverpool’s pre-season preparations have been dealt a blow as another goalkeeper has been ruled out for the remainder of the schedule following a training injury. 17-year-old stopper Vitezslav Jaros won’t play a further part after suffering an elbow ligament strain ahead of the Reds’ 3-1 friendly win at Bradford City on Sunday. He made his senior debut by playing a half in the opening pre-season fixture at Tranmere Rovers and was set to act as Simon Mignolet’s back-up for the next few weeks following Caoimhin Kelleher’s broken wrist.
