SportEverton eye Mandzukic - would he be a good signing?
Everton interested in Egyptian winger Trezeguet - but would he be a good signing?
Everton are reportedly showing an interest in highly-rated Egyptian winger Mahmoud Trezeguet – but would the 24-year-old be a good signing? According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, cited by King Fut, both Everton and Watford are keen on the wide man, with the player himself keen on a switch to England. Trezeguet plies his trade with Turkish side Kasimpasa and is currently away with his national side at the Africa Cup of Nations. The winger scored
Everton are reportedly interested in signing Mario Mandzukic from Juventus, and it is easy to see why.
According to claims from, the Toffees are keeping a close eye on whether or not he will feature in the plans of Maurizio Sarri next season in Turin, with the view of potentially making a move for the player.
Mandzukic does not appear to fit the mould of a striker who thrives in the Italian’s system, and as such, he could head away from the Serie A champions in the summer.
So, just why are Everton named as potential suitors? It is clear that they need to sign a new forward ahead of next season, and targeting a proven player such as the Croatian could be a clever move.
Everton interested in Ndiaye - but would it be a smart signing?
Everton are reportedly interested in Stoke City’s Badou Ndiaye – but would the Senegalese midfielder be a smart signing? According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, cited by Sports Witness, the Toffees are keen on a move for the 28-year-old, who spent the previous season on loan with Galatasaray. The Turkish giants are thought to be interested in bringing the player back this summer, with Ligue 1 outfit Lille also keen on the Senegal international. Ndiaye could well play alongside fellow countryman Idrissa Gueye if a move is completed, however, the midfielder could be seen as a replacement for Gueye, who is expected to be of interest to Paris Saint-Germain once more this summe
Mandzukic is stylistically a good fit for the Toffees, and the Premier League, at that. He drifts into the channels, holds the ball up well, and provides a dangerous option in the area.
The former Bayern Munich star is selfless with his running – much like Dominic Calvert-Lewin – and suits the type of forward that Marco Silva typically favours in his 4-2-3-1 system.
Manduzkic is, of course, reaching the twilight of his playing career. He is now 33-years-old, and there is, perhaps, only one or two seasons left in the tank.
However, Everton are in need of a proven player who is ready and capable of slotting straight in and helping to spur them on in their pursuit of European football ahead of next season.
Mandzukic could be that man. It would be a risk worth taking for the Toffees this summer.
Everton end Pepe interest - is it a sensible decision by the Toffees?.
Everton have reportedly ended their interest in Lille star Nicolas Pepe – but is it the right decision by the Toffees? According to the Liverpool Echo, cited by HITC, Everton have decided against signing the Ligue 1 winger due to his high price tag. The Toffees had been linked with a move for the player, with Lille reportedly valuing the Ivorian at £58 million. Liverpool and Arsenal have both been linked with a move for the 24-year-old who scored 22 times in the French top-flight last season, with the player likely to depart his current club ahead of the new season. The decision to end their interest in the winger appears to be a sensible one.
