Sheffield United co-owner Kevin McCabe must sell his share of the club to co-owner Prince Abdullah for £5million, a High Court judge has ruled.

The co-owners had a falling out and after weeks in a London High Court, lifelong Blades fan McCabe has been told he must now transfer assets to Saudi royal family member Abdullah.

Both men have been in dispute after they launched rival bids to take control of the club in 2017 and evidence has emerged through the 15-day hearing.

Prince Abdullah was a grandson of King Abdulaziz, the founder of modern Saudi Arabia.

McCabe, who previously owned 100 per cent of the Yorkshire club, sold half of his stake to Prince Abdullah for £1 under the impression significant investment would arrive, according to the Sheffield Star.

But with both men keen to take total control in 2017 following a breakdown in relations, a hearing in the High Court was called to reach a verdict.
