As stated on the club’s official website, Smith confirmed that Konsa was back in training and is ready to play at Villa Park.As reported on the Express and Star, Konsa was forced off early in Villa’s last match against Bournemouth with a muscular injurybut Smith confirmed that he has made a full recovery from the issue.

Alan Hutton has announced his retirement at the age of 35, calling time on a career that spanned 15 years and seven clubs. 

The right back began his career with Rangers, making his debut in December 2002 before going on to make 94 league appearances and win the Scottish Premier League in 2005.

He moved to Tottenham for a reported £9m fee in January 2008, where he started the League Cup final victory against Chelsea a month later. 

He was sent on loan to Sunderland in 2010, before making a permanent switch to Aston Villa a year later.

While at Villa, Hutton also had loan stints at Nottingham Forest, Mallorca and Bolton. 

He was released by Villa last summer, but had been making an attempt to find a new club.

However, he decided to announce he was quitting the game on Wednesday morning - breaking the news on talkSPORT.  

The Glasgow born defender also won 50 caps for Scotland, before retiring from international duty in 2016.
