The deconfinement of the Madrid and Barcelona regions, the most populated in the country, had been delayed because they are also the two areas hardest hit by the pandemic. Spain is itself one of the most bereaved countries in the world with 28,628 dead according to the count of the Ministry of Health.

These two regions as well as a large part of Castile-Leon (north of Madrid), therefore pass to phase 1 of the deconfinement, which has four.

Their museums will be able to reopen, but with only 30% of the number of regular visitors, while hotels will have to keep common areas (swimming pools, gymnasiums, lounges) closed to reduce the risk of contagion.

The reopening of small shops, which had already started this week, will be generalized, with a limitation of the number of customers to 30% of the reception capacity.
