Crystal Palace join Celtic in the race for Jordon Ibe

Crystal Palace join Celtic in the race for Jordon Ibe Celtic and Crystal Palace have both shown an interest in signing free-agent winger Jordon Ibe on a free transfer, according to a report from The Sunday Mirror’s print edition (28th June). Ibe is now officially a free agent after Bournemouth decided not to offer him a contract extension, which means he is now free to sign for Palace, Celtic or any other club who make him an offer. Bournemouth paid a club-record fee of £15 million to sign Ibe from Liverpool back in 2016 and whilst he’s shown the odd glimpse of talent, the Bermondsey-born star hasn’t had anywhere near the impact at The Cherries that both he and the club would have wanted.

Yasser Larouci (Arabic: ياسر لعروسي‎; born 1 January 2001) is an Algerian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Liverpool. Larouci was highly rated at Le Havre, where he was the captain of their U17 side.

Leeds United have held talks with Liverpool about the possible summer transfer of Yasser Larouci, as per a report from David Lynch of The Standard.

The 19-year-old has made a few sporadic first-team appearances for Liverpool in games where Jurgen Klopp has rung the changes but his chances of breaking into the first-team set-up on a regular basis appear slim and it looks like the player and the club have agreed that a permanent move away is the best option for all concerned.

With Andy Robertson fully established as Liverpool’s left-back and with James Milner and Neco Williams ahead of Larouci in the pecking order to play in games that Robertson misses, it’s understandable that the teenager wants to move.

With just one year left on his contract, The Reds will be keen to get some type of fee for the 19-year-old and will hope that Leeds, Brentford and a few other clubs might become embroiled in a bidding war to drive up the asking price.
