The half-time exchange didn't include co-commentator Ally McCoist but when the match ended, host Eilidh Barbour probed the Ibrox legend for his verdict.

He said: "I take Boydy's point but I just think it's a yellow, I really do.

"I genuinely don't think there is any intent to elbow him in the face but if he does get sent off I don't think he has an awful lot of real complaint but I think the referee probably called it right.
