Sport Northern Ireland footballer Ryan McLaughlin hoping boxing podcast turns into knockout hit
Co Down man launches podcast where he chats to celebrities about the afterlife
Matt created the God Only Knows podcast where he delves into the 'afterlife' with a host of famous comedians including Paddy Kielty and Hugh Dennis Well that's exactly the premise of a new comedy podcast featuring a host of popular comedians, and is the brainchild of Co Down man Matt White.
Northern Ireland footballer Ryan McLaughlin is hoping a new boxing podcast he helps present turns into a knockout hit.
The Rochdale defender has joined up with good friends Colm McGuigan and Ciaran McCourt to co-host Brawl Boxing.
The podcast is part of The Brawl Network, a media company based in Chicago, USA.
So far they have attracted top guests including Michael Conlan, Tyrone McKenna and Gary 'Spike' O'Sullivan, and next week they are set to interview Carl Frampton's forthcoming opponent Jamel Herring.
"I have a group chat with Colm and Ciaran, and all we do is talk about boxing," McLaughlin explained.

"The actual podcast is from a network based in Chicago, and Colm does a lot of writing for them and it goes on ESPN in America.
"He also loves his boxing, and we decided we would try a podcast focusing on boxing.
"I know a good few boxers who I can get on the show, and Ciaran is an actor so he has got the polished presenting voice. So we have a good balance there.
"We have done three episodes already and have got some positive feedback, and we just want to grow it.
"Tyrone McKenna was out first guest. He is a great guy. Spike O'Sullivan is a real character and was another great guest - he's had some massive fights.
"And then Michael Conlan who was brilliant.
"I think the podcast works well because the guests always feel relaxed, and you get more out of them. Sometimes sportspeople will just give you cliched soundbites, but the podcast lets them open up on their lives and careers.
Stranger Things stars reunite in new snaps as filming resumes for season four in Georgia
The cast of Stranger Things have reunited to film the upcoming season of the show. The popular science fiction Netflix show was forced to suspend filming on March 13 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but it appears production is back on track seven months on.
"We are trying to do everything. Obviously I have a good few connections in football, but this is solely focused on boxing."
Next up for Ryan, Colm and Ciaran is an episode featuring WBO world super-featherweight champion Jamel Herring.
The former US Marine is set to defend his title against Belfast boxer Frampton either later this year or at the start of 2021.
It offers Frampton the chance to become Ireland's first-ever three-weight world champion, giving the podcast guys plenty to chat about next week.
"Jamel has a great story to tell, from his time in US Marines to his career in boxing," McLaughlin added.
"He has come through a lot of adversity in his life, and he has talked about the Frampton fight potentially being his last.
"It could also be Frampton's last fight, so it is going to be a massive fight.
"We hope to get Carl on sometime in the future. And we want to help build up the fight as much as we can.
From Magic Mirrors to Mobile Commerce: How do tech and beauty fit together?

Augmented Reality, for example, is used for magic mirros and makeup try-on apps. Is it all just a nice gimmick or is it a real sales driver? We talk about this with Vanessa Stützle, Chief Digital Officer at Douglas, in our new episode of the t3n podcast.
"It will be massive when it happens, and hopefully some fans can get to watch it."
While the Brawl Boxing podcast has so far focused on some of the sport's professional stars, McLaughlin also hopes to shine a light on some of the rising talent coming out of Ireland and beyond.
"We have a lot of young boxers who maybe need some publicity, so we would love to get them on as well," he added.
"We just love boxing, and getting to speak to these boxers and hear their stories is brilliant. It is just a hobby to us.
"I always liked boxing from a young age, and I went to a few of Frampton's early fights. My love for boxing probably started around the early Floyd Mayweather era, and I also loved David Haye as well.
"Now I watch any boxing that is on TV. This weekend we have some massive fights coming up including Leo Santa Cruz vs Gervonta Davis.
"If Santa Cruz wins that then it shows how good Frampton was to beat him the first time."
The Brawl Podcast is available on all platforms including Spotify and Apple.
