Danny Lennon insists every club in Scotland will face Covid chaos at some point this season after Clyde could not fulfil their fixture with East Fife.

Four players have tested positive for the virus and several others are self-isolating at The Bully Wee leading to the League One clash at Bayview being postponed.

In a statement last night the SPFL confirmed Lennon's side have "insufficient players to fulfil the fixture" and the Broadwood Stadium side would be subject to an investigation.

Lennon now expects more to games and clubs to be impacted even if they follow guidelines.

He added: "It's a frustrating time for us but everybody will go through something like this at one stage or another.

"We've had a wee blip this week and the most important thing is that everybody has been tested, positive players have been diagnosed and those in contact have been told to self-isolate.

"The measures have all been followed but it's just frustrating that we are not able to continue our momentum.

"The priority has to be safety and the medical staff here have followed all the measures the SFA have put in place, but it just shows you that there is nothing concrete this season."
