It’s the beginning of the end as the first fixtures of the SPFL Premiership after the split are played this weekend.

Referees have been appointed across the divisions and there are big games in the Championship and at the bottom of the Premiership.

Kilmarnock host fellow relegation rivals Ross County at Rugby Park – while in the second tier Hearts are attempting to make the step up – but after failing to beat Dunfermline Athletic last week they won’t be able to do it this weekend. Robbie Neilson’s side are in Friday night football action on BBC Scotland while city rivals Hibs are at Ibrox on Sunday to play the Premiership champions Rangers.
