Rangers are willing to sell winger Jordan Jones permanently this summer, a report fromhas claimed.
Jones is currently on loan with Sunderland, having joined the Black Cats in the January transfer window after falling down the pecking order at Ibrox.
During his time at The Stadium of Light, Jones has scored three goals and provided four assists in 17 appearances for Lee Johnson’s side.
Now though, it appears as though Rangers have already made their decision on the future of Jones heading into the summer transfer window.
According to, the Scottish champions are ready to sell Jones on a long-term basis this summer, as they look to cash in on the 26-year-old.
Gerrard must unleash rarely-seen Rangers gem who was "terrific" vs Hoops this season - opinion
After leaving him on the bench against Hibernian, Steven Gerrard should unleash Scott Wright from the start against Celtic on Sunday. The 23-year-old was surprisingly left on the bench for the 2-1 win against Hibernian last time out, despite being one of the star performers in the 4-0 win against Cove Rangers the previous week.
There are currently just over two years remaining on Jones’ contract at Ibrox, meaning Rangers are in a strong position to negotiate any offers that come in for the winger.
Prior to his loan to Sunderland, Jones had made 19 appearances in all competitions for Rangers, scoring once, after joining the club from Kilmarnock in the summer of 2019.
This may not be a bad move for Rangers to make with regards to Jones.
While he has been impressive with Sunderland, Steven Gerrard’s side have coped comfortably without him, and his contract situation means they could receive a decent fee for the winger.
For Sunderland themselves, this will surely peak some interest around the Stadium of Light, given they will no doubt want to keep Jones at the club, considering the impact he has had for them.
However, that may be difficult for them to do if they do not win promotion to the Championship this season, since you could understand it if some second-tier sides were to take an interest in the 26-year-old when the market reopens.
Celtic should be embarrassed at 30 point swing three years after Parkhead pummelling they gave Rangers says Murdo MacLeod .
MacLeod says Rangers' 20-point advantage on the third anniversary of five-goal Hoops hammering shows an incredible Old Firm power shift and Celtic's catastrophic campaign.Fresh from a four-goal Scottish Cup destruction just two weeks earlier, five goals without reply proved to be the nadir for the Ibrox club as Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic side cruised through the gears and racked up a seventh straight title.
