“Thank you to the Friedkin family for choosing me to lead this great club. After meetings with the ownership and Tiago Pinto, I immediately understood the full extent of their ambitions.”

Both are current players at A.S. Roma.

Others were making the same prediction as to what the new Roma coach might say if his team loses.

Though not all agree with the decision to appoint Mourinho and certainly didn’t mince their words when discussing the club and its new head coach.

One person commented on the impeccable timing of the announcements coinciding with May the 4th day.

We will have to wait until the new season begins to find out whether Mourinho can win any silverware at his new club.
