Sport Packers RB Eddie Lacy feels 'more explosive' after offseason weight loss
11 insane things I did because of Brett Favre
11 insane things I did because of Brett Favre Brett Favre will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday, an event that closes the door on a 25-year chapter in his life. And mine, of course. For most of that quarter century, I loved Favre. For a short time, I couldn’t stand Favre. I heard Favre say this on his Pro Football Hall of Fame teleconference July 19: "I dreamed that I was going to be Roger Staubach and play for the Dallas Cowboys and nothing was going to stop me,” Favre said.

Eddie Lacy didn’t play much in the Green Bay Packers’ (official) preseason opener on Friday, carrying the ball four times for 24 yards. After a disappointing 2015 season where he was called overweight and looked out of shape, it was good to see Lacy break off an 11-yard run and show of seemingly regained quickness.
Packers' Mike McCarthy says he will 'never' again surrender play-calling duties
"It'll be a little different this year," McCarthy says.Despite employing one of the best quarterbacks in all of football, the Green Bay Packers struggled on offense in 2015.
By his own account, he feels different than he did last season.
“I feel more explosive, yeah,” Lacy said. “It’s how fast you make the cut, how fast you get north and south out of the cut, and how fast you’re able to put your pad level down. And once you and the defender make contact, who goes back or if it stalemates.”
The story of Brett Favre’s Hall of Fame career, as told by his backups
The story of Brett Favre’s Hall of Fame career, as told by his backups Brett Favre’s storied football career is well-documented.When he retired following the 2010 season, the 11-time Pro Bowl selection was the NFL’s all-time leader in passing yards, touchdowns, completions, attempts, wins and interceptions. He was the first player in NFL history to win three straight MVP awards. He won a Super Bowl, played in another and helped his teams claim eight division titles. Favre is also the only quarterback to beat each of the league’s 32 teams.

Not only did the Packers miss Jordy Nelson in 2015, but they didn’t have the same Lacy from 2014. The ground game wasn’t nearly as effective, which in turn impacted Aaron Rodgers’ game.
At this point, Lacy feels good, but he’s still not where he wants to be.
“I don’t think anybody’s ever where they want to be,” he said. “There’s always room for improvement. We have a great coach who pinpoints those things. It’s always the pressure, good pressure I guess you could say, of always wanting to do better.”
