The Brazilian scored six and assisted nine goals in 30 appearances. He was undoubtedly a stand-out performer as Leeds secured an impressive ninth place finish.

Marcelo Bielsa ’s side have had some troubles in front of goal recently, failing to find the back of the net in their last three top-flight games, and it’s a run which has seen them pick up just one point from a possible nine. With The Athletic’s Phil Hay revealing a mixed bag in terms of news on the injury front, Bielsa Gjanni Alioski endured a difficult game against the Blues and could do with being dropped, and that could see Stuart Dallas fill in at left-back once more. In midfield, Hay revealed that Rodrigo is a doubt with a muscular problem, and there’s surely no way Bielsa will be looking to risk the Spaniard if

Leeds United transfer target Harry Wilson could form a superb partnership with Raphinha, having already wowed Marcelo Bielsa with his displays before.

What’s the story?

Reports in the summer of 2020 had claimed that Bielsa’s side were keen on bringing the Wales international to Elland Road, but a deal failed to materialise before the end of the deadline.

The Athletic‘s Phil Hay in fact had also suggested that Wilson is “very highly rated by Leeds (and Victor Orta especially) for a while and he’s always on the list of possibles. With Wilson, it would depend on price and what Liverpool intend to do with him. One to watch, possibly.”

Liverpool could seal their next Diogo Jota with “spontaneous” £22.5m-rated magician - opinion

Liverpool could seal their next Diogo Jota with “spontaneous” £22.5m-rated magician - opinion Liverpool could land their next Diogo Jota this summer after being linked with Leeds United winger Raphinha. What’s the story? Jurgen Klopp’s charges have reportedly been monitoring the Brazilian for several months, and his comments in a recent interview have sparked further speculation over a possible move ahead of the upcoming transfer window. Raphinha revealed […]What’s the story?

" Raphinha can play [in] the Champions League and have visibility at European level, but instead of staying at Rennes, which has a great sporting challenge, he prefers to go and play for a second-rate club in England without a European Cup. He stood out straight away. “I am surprised that bigger, more established Premier League teams haven’t taken a punt on him because he really is someone special, and he is young.” Ever since opening his account for his new side with the winning goal against Everton in November, it has been clear that Raphinha could be the player to help take a Leeds squad that is largely made

Playing as Leeds ' lone centre-forward, with Raphinha to his right, Bamford is better placed than most to fully appreciate the Brazilian, with whom he has struck up a unique relationship by virtue of their ability to communicate in French on the pitch. "As soon as he came in and I saw him in training you know sometimes whether a player is top class, and he really was," said Bamford. In an alternative timeline, Leeds could have spent this season with Frenchman Michael Cuisance in midfield, while Raphinha took on a Champions League campaign with Rennes.

Now, Mercado Ingles have revealed that the Whites are in negotiations with Liverpool over a deal for the 24-year-old, and could finally bring him to the club this summer.

He stunned Bielsa

Dubbed as an “exceptional talent” by Bielsa himself after Leeds’ 4-1 triumph over Derby in which Wilson played for the Rams, it was no surprise why the Whites boss was left wowed by his performance.

As per Sofascore, he finished with a 7.0 match rating, which was by far the highest of any Derby player, as he looked to single-handedly drag his side into the game.

The £60k-a-week earning ace provided the joint-highest number of key passes of any player on the pitch for either side with three, while he also completed one out of his two dribbles and earned one free-kick too.

Everton 0-1 Leeds : Raphinha 's first Whites goal bags much-needed victory over sloppy Toffees in end-to-end clash with THREE goals ruled-out. Leeds United travelled to Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon to face Everton. An entertaining first-half ended 0-0 with both sides finding plenty of chances. What better tribute could there be to Diego Maradona than having another eccentric and beloved Argentine conjure up a victory only he could have made possible. Once again, Marcelo Bielsa ’s Leeds United were mesmerising on Merseyside.

It was no surprise then that reports last summer suggested that “Marcelo Bielsa is a big admirer of the versatile attacker, who he regards as extremely talented and with the potential to develop into a real star.”

Given Leeds already have an outstanding winger in Raphinha who gets people off their seats, bringing Wilson into the fold could give Jack Harrison some real competition on the opposite flank as they jockey to see who partners the Brazilian.

But with the Welshman’s superb free-kick ability and technique – Jurgen Klopp even said his “shooting is world-class” – Leeds could have a fascinating combination of dribbling and skill with both Raphinha and Wilson in tandem.

Meanwhile, Leeds United are in talks with this Premier League star…
