Sport Ronald Koeman's crushed reaction to Suarez scoring for Atletico vs Barcelona was pure pain
Dilemma for Barça: Compensation for Koeman Probably in any case
contractually contractually Ronald Koeman is tied to the FC Barcelona until the coming summer. An extension of his working paper is currently unlikely. And that's exactly what the Catalans could cost a pole money.
Luis Suarez made Barcelona regret that they ever sold him on Saturday night.
The Camp Nou faithful were gutted to see one of their greatest ever players leave in the summer of 2020 and the decision has been made to look all the more ridiculous in the 12 months since.
Not only was Suarez inexplicably allowed to sign for one of's biggest La Liga rivals in Atletico Madrid, but the bizarre deal only saw the Catalans pocket a pitiful €6 million in return.
Suarez's Barcelona exit
Since then, Suarez has rattled home an impressive 25 goals across just 47 games in the Spanish capital and even beat Barcelona to the La Liga crown during his debut season.

Shock report names reason Bielsa could go, as Barcelona eye Leeds boss
Marcelo Bielsa is on Barcelona's managerial radar and the Leeds boss could go, according to a shock reportThe Argentine manager has performed wonders at Leeds, namely returning the club to the Premier League. As such, he will go down in club folklore no matter how his association with the side ends.
Don't worry, Ronald, at least you have Martin Braithwaite and Luuk de Jong instead.
What could have been...
Now, it must be said that the comments surrounding Suarez's exit seem to suggest that a lot of the culpability lies at the feet of Josep Maria Bartomeu's feet, but Koeman has still come under fire.
Besides, it's not a massive leap in logic to suggest that if Koeman had wanted Suarez to continue leading Barca's line in a time when Lionel Messi was still around that he would have done.
But as inexplicable as it might seem despite transpiring so long ago, Suarez is instead playing for one of Barca's biggest rivals and making sure the club never forgets that they allowed it to happen.
Barcelona remain focused on symptoms rather than causes .
Barcelona are thinking of replacing Ronald Koeman, but yet again a football club may be treating the symptom rather than the cause. It hasn’t been a very good start to the 2021/22 season for Barcelona. Their recent 2-0 defeat at Atletico Madrid may have been their first defeat of the league season, but previous results had not been exceptional, while their disastrous start in the Champions League leaves them bottom of their group and already facing an uphill battle to avoid elimination in the group stages for the first time in 21 years.
