iOS 13 code suggests Apple’s exciting new AR glasses might launch sooner than we thought

iOS 13 code suggests Apple’s exciting new AR glasses might launch sooner than we thought Apple will unveil the iPhone 11 series next week, likely alongside new Apple Watch models, but these aren't the only new iOS products the company is developing.

What is Apple planning for the iPhone 12 ? One advantage Apple could enjoy by waiting until 2020 for its 5 G phone is that the price of 5 G components will have dropped by then Benjamin Geskin, who comes up with a lot of phone renders based on leaks and rumors, has put out a render of a 6.7-inch

Apple was originally planning to use Intel chips in its 2020 5 G iPhones , but Intel is out of Apple 's embrace of 5 G is expected to push carriers such as AT&T and Verizon to accelerate their investment in the rollout of 5 G infrastructure and catch up with China's rapidly accelerating 5 G capabilities.

Apple is reportedly mobilisation suppliers to produce a range of three iPhones with 5G data connectivity. And, contrary to other recent reports, they are said to be coming in 2020.

We had previously heard that Apple was planning to make its own 5G modems, but that they wouldn't be ready until 2021. However, while we still don't know who will be supplying the mobile data chips at present, sources inside the supply chain claim that next year's flagship models will, indeed, be 5G ready.

They told Nikkei Asian Review that the iPhone 12 (as it is currently being termed) will also sport advanced mobile processors and leading edge screens. This latter suggestion matches another report released this week that said the new iPhones will come with 120Hz displays.

Apple announces repair program for cracked Apple Watch screens

Apple announces repair program for cracked Apple Watch screens Apple has acknowledged a flaw in certain Apple Watch models that could lead to the screen cracking, and has launched a replacement program for affected users. Apple or authorized service providers will replace the screen on eligible models free of charge. “Apple has determined that, under very rare circumstances, a crack may form along the rounded edge of the screen in aluminum models of an Apple Watch Series 2 or Series 3,” the company says on its website. “The crack may begin on one side and then may continue around the screen as shown in the images below.

Rumors about Apple 's upcoming 2020 iPhones, which could be called the iPhone 12 , iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. 2020 will be the first year that Apple introduces 5 G support in the iPhone, allowing the new devices to connect to 5 G networks that are much faster than 4G LTE networks.

In June, Ming-Chi Kuo said that Apple would launch three new iPhones in 2020 , two of which would feature 5 G connectivity. In a followup to the same report today, Kuo now says that all three iPhone models will support fast 5 G cellular data.

It's impossible to argue with the influence Apple's iPhone has had on the wider world, let alone the consumer technology industry. It's now been 12 years since Steve Jobs introduced the original iPhone to the world, and since then the brand has sold hundreds of millions of handsets. And recently we saw the latest additions, the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR.                                                                                                                                                         So let’s take a look back at the history of the iPhone and see how the most important device in 21st century tech has evolved...

Other iPhone 12 rumours claim that the next flagship devices will adopt designs with more squared-off edges than recent releases - looking more like the iPhone 5.

Apple will allegedly also dispense with the notch at the top of the front panel, building the front FaceID camera into the bezel itself.

And, there is speculation that there will be an in-display fingerprint sensor, like several Android rivals currently on the market.

Nikkei Asian Review's report also claims that Apple plans to ship "at least 80 million" 5G iPhones.

iPhone 5G to support both mmWave and sub-6GHz bands .
Apple has never attempted to be the first company to support the next-gen, speedier, wireless data transfer standard. A new research note from Ming-Chi Kuo seen by 9to5Mac claims that the 5G iPhones will support both mmWave and sub-6GHz bands. These are 5G frequency versions in use in several markets around the world, and the 5G networks of the future will work on a combination of mmWave and sub-6GHz bands. Phones will, therefore, have to support both these frequency types, and the 5G iPhone shouldn’t be the only 2020 device to come with mmWave and sub-6GHz compatibility.
