Leak reveals Samsung’s Galaxy Fold 2 is coming in a matter of months

Leak reveals Samsung’s Galaxy Fold 2 is coming in a matter of months No sooner than Samsung foists a new foldable phone upon us next month after last year's debacle that was the original Galaxy Fold -- in the form of the Galaxy Z Flip. The “true” successor to last year’s original Fold (“true” being how leaker Max Weinbach has referred to the coming device we’re referring to) is what’s been unofficially dubbed the Galaxy Fold 2. And if Max’s information is to be believed, Samsung is apparently set to unveil it sometime in the second quarter. But not only that — Weinbach, of XDA Developers, is predicting the device to launch with an ultra-thin glass display as well as S Pen support.

Samsung ’ s next folding phone is likely to be announced this month, and what appears to be the first hands-on video with the device has just appeared online. Leaker Ben Geskin has posted a short clip purportedly showing the phone, said to be called the Galaxy Z Flip , in action on Twitter.

The Galaxy Z Flip , Samsung ’ s rumored next foldable phone, is apparently nearing its launch, as an alleged leaked video that shows off the device’ s folding screen has surfaced. Leaked high-resolution renders of the Galaxy Z Flip from WinFuture featured the front and back of the smartphone, and

Samsung’s next folding phone is likely to be announced this month, and what appears to be the first hands-on video with the device has just appeared online. Leaker Ben Geskin has posted a short clip purportedly showing the phone, said to be called the Galaxy Z Flip, in action on Twitter.

The video doesn’t show a great deal more than what we’ve already seen in leaked photos and renders — we still can’t tell whether the phone is using a new form of “ultra-thin glass” from Samsung, for example. But if you’ve been wondering how the Z Flip might work out in practice, it may well be of interest. The phone does look like it might be quite a bit easier to slip into a pocket or handbag than pretty much anything else out there — except maybe Motorola’s similar upcoming Razr.

We’re expecting the Galaxy Z Flip to be announced at Samsung’s Unpacked event on February 11th in San Francisco. The main event for that event, however, should be the much-leaked Galaxy S20 flagship smartphone.

Samsung says Galaxy Z Flip is already sold out online .
The new handset is the world's first foldable phone with a glass screen.Samsung introduced the Galaxy Z Flip last week and started selling it Friday for $1,380, warning that it would initially be available in limited quantities. The device, Samsung's second foldable after its Galaxy Fold, features a clamshell design and is essentially a high-tech flip phone. Samsung says it's made with a proprietary glass it calls Ultra Thin Glass on its 6.7-inch bendable screen.
