Because of the Corona crisis, Microsoft had already postponed the discontinuation of version 1709 by half a year. Now exactly the same thing happens with the successor version.

Version 1803 would originally have expired on November 10, 2020. Against the background that many companies are still working in emergency mode or have completely different worries than the introduction of a new Windows 10 version, Microsoft is also adding six months to this version.

The new expiry date is May 11, 2021, on which date version 1803 will receive security updates for the last time. This means that the versions 1803 and 1809 will expire at the same time, so there is no extension for the 1809.

This change only affects the Enterprise versions anyway, for Home and Pro the support for version 1803 ended in November 2019.
