Boomi is focused on Cloud Integration AS-A service (IPAAs) and has a strong strain of 15,000 corporate customers. Dell bought Boomi in 2010 to expand its software pallet.
The sale of Boomi is only a few weeks after the announcement of Dell Technologies, VMware completely split off and become an independent company. Dell Technologies will organize his virtual Dell Techologies World Conference this week.
Jeff Clarke, Chief Operating Officer at Dell, said the sale of Boomi is the right step for both companies. Dell Technologies announced that it focuses on his core infrastructure and PC business focused on Hybrid Cloud, Edge Computing, Telecommunications and its Hardware AS-A-Service Project.
Francisco Partners explained that Boomi will develop his tools to connect cloud data and workflows with greater automation. TPG and Francisco Partners will be combined to accelerate the growth of Boomi as an independent company.
