The 24-year-old was attacked after speaking to friends in Spanish on a Central Line train from Liverpool Street to Stratford last week. 

Two women heard her talking in Spanish and started shouting at her, saying she should 'speak English in England'. 

They then took hold of her by the hair, injuring her scalp and leaving her with cuts to her face, British Transport Police said.

Police in London are searching for two women after another female who was speaking Spanish on the night tube was viciously attacked . Her attackers shouted at her saying she should speak English when in England . They then grabbed her by the hair and pulled her around.

BTP described the incident, at 3.45am on Saturday, April 7, as a 'vicious and racially-motivated assault'.  

The alleged attackers were described as black with braided hair, and believed to be in their late 20s. 

One was wearing a brown jacket, while the other was wearing a black jacket.

Police are investigating the attack and are watching CCTV from stations the train travelled through. 

Officers would like to speak to witnesses, especially those in the carriage who might have seen what happened, or anyone who recognises someone matching the description.
