A dedicated hotline has since been set up to receive information about her whereabouts. A body has been found by teams searching for missing teenager Nora Quoirin who vanished in Malaysia.

An officer told The Mirror : "We think we have found a body, but we need to confirm it is her. Please be patient. We will let you know as soon as it's confirmed."

Two forensics vans as well as other police vehicles have been seen entering the area, which is now sealed off with police tape.

A spokesperson for The Lucie Blackman Trust who have been assisting the family said in a statement: "The Lucie Blackman Trust can confirm a body has been found in the search for Nora Quoirin.

Malaysian police searching for Nora Quoirin , 15, have extended their search to areas of tropical forest. Nora Quoirin 's parents woke on Sunday to find her missing from her bedroom at the Dusun resort. In a statement they said Nora "never goes anywhere by herself" and there was "no reason to

The discovery was made as the search entered its tenth day in the jungle surrounding the eco-resort in Dusun, where Nora was staying with her family.

The 15-year-old, who has special needs, was reported missing on August 4 after her father discovered she had gone and a downstairs window was wide open.

The discovery comes a day after an anonymous Belfast business offered a £10,000 reward for any information leading to her return.

Speaking yesterday, Nora's family said: “Nora is our first child. She has been vulnerable since the day she was born. She is so precious to us and our hearts are breaking.

"We are appealing to anyone who has information about Nora to help us find her.

"The police have been working extremely hard to bring Nora home.
