A 40-year-old man has been arrested after a car left a road in Southend and hit two pedestrians and a shop. The man , from Southend, has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs. The crash happened on the A127 Princes Avenue at about 11:20

Police have appealed for witnesses after incident in a supermarket car park in Barry .

South Wales Police said officers were called to Morrisons after a blue Vauxhall Agila on Tuesday, July 9, at around 5.15pm.

A 34-year-old man was taken to the University Hospital of Wales , Cardiff , for treatment.

A 63-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released under investigation.

Detectives want to speak to a woman who is believed to have witnessed two men involved in a confrontation when entering the store at around 5.10pm.

The male witness is described as being young, white and is seen to run after the suspect’s car following the collision.

Officers would also like to speak to a woman who was a passenger in the black car who may have witnessed the collision. She is described as being white with long blond hair tied in a ponytail.

Detective Constable Steve Gunney, from Barry CID, said: "I would urge these three witnesses to get in contact with us as we believe they may hold vital information to assist this investigation.
