After a hearing in June this year, the Law Society of Scotland found him guilty of professional misconduct after the case was referred to them by the Scottish Solicitors’ Disciplinary Tribunal (SSDT). He was censured and ordered to pay hearing expenses.

The SSDT said: “The tribunal considered that the domestic nature of the conviction was apt to bring the profession into disrepute. Anderson had not acted with integrity.”

Anderson worked at Weber Wolf Ltd from November 2014 to July 2017. He was a business administrator for the company from April 2015 to July 2017.

In 2012, he was accused of targeting vulnerable clients for a crooked legal firm. Bosses investigated after he sent clients with desperate legal problems to a now struck-off solicitor, John O’Donnell, who was posing as a colleague at now-defunct Glasgow law firm Davidson Fraser.

O’Donnell broke the law by acting as a lawyer for the firm and was jailed in 2015 for posing as another lawyer named Colin Davidson.

Former Royal Marine Anderson’s name was on Davidson Fraser’s letterhead.

The Law Society of Scotland said they did not comment on individual cases.

A man who answered the phone at Anderson’s home in Kilmarnock said: “You have the wrong number.”
