Cops in Glasgow have launched an investigation after the body of a man was found within a .

A post mortem will take place in due course to establish the circumstances surrounding the "suspicious" death of a 45-year-old man.

Following the death cops locked down the high rise with a cordon put in place around the entrance to the building.

A Police Scotland statement read: "Around 7.55pm last night, Monday 14 October 2019, the body of a 45-year-old man was found within a flat on Carrbridge Dr, Maryhill, Glasgow.

"A post mortem will take place in due course to establish the exact circumstances surrounding his death which at this time police are treating as suspicious.
