A person has been cut free from their vehicle after a crash near Inverness Airport.

Emergency services were called to the smash on the A96 at Milton of Gollanfield, near Inverness , at around 8.15am on Tuesday.

Police Scotland , Scottish Ambulance Service and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service all rushed in to the incident.

Officers on the scene closed the road in both directions while a fire crew cut one casualty free from their vehicle.

Injuries of the people involved remains unclear.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Officers were called to a two-vehicle RTC on the A96 at 8.15am on Tuesday.

“Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances to the scene, where crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to safely remove one casualty from one vehicle.

“The casualty was thereafter passed into the care of Scottish Ambulance Service personnel.

“Crews left at 8.51am.”

Scottish Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
