South Wales Police said it is the second time in two weeks a delivery-type van has been stolen in the area.

Mr Taylor, 65, is well-known in the area for delivering parcels with his pet husky dog, Ice, by his side, until he retired a few years ago.

Friend Nathan Britton, who posted the video footage on Facebook of the moment the van disappeared, picked Mr Taylor up after his van had been stolen.

"Normally Peter has his husky with him in the back who would have been enough to put off any thief," he said.

"Peter had got to the door but as he looked back the van had just gone."
