A pedestrian has been struck by a bus in Glasgow City Centre .

Emergency services rushed to Killermont Street , close to Buchanan Bus Station, at around 4.40pm after receiving reports that a man had been knocked down.

He was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary .

His injuries are currently unknown.

The busy road is currently closed.

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed: "Police were called to Killermont Street, near John Lewis, at 4.40pm this afternoon after reports of an accident involving a male edestrian and a bus.

"An ambulance also attended and there are no updates on injuries."

Woman charged after teenager injured in hit and run in Glasgow .
Paramedics rushed the 18-year-old to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he was treated for serious injuries. A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal with the woman set to appear in court at a later date. A Police Scotland statement read: "Police Scotland can confirm that a woman has been charged following a hit and run on the A8, Alexandra Parade, near to its junction with Alexandra Park. "The incident happened around 7.45am on Thursday 28 November 2019 , when a car failed to stop following a collision with a motorcyclist.
