  Man from Northern Ireland arrested over Essex lorry deaths A man from Northern Ireland has been arrested in connection with the deaths of 39 Vietnamese nationals in a lorry trailer in Essex last month. The 23-year-old was arrested by Thames Valley Police on behalf of Essex Police in the early hours of Friday on the M40 in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.He was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to traffic people and conspiracy to assist unlawful immigration.The man, who has not been named, remains in custody, Essex Police said.His arrest comes a month after 39 bodies were discovered in a refrigerated lorry trailer at Waterglade Industrial Park in Grays, Essex, on 23 October.

A man from Northern Ireland has appeared in court in connection with the deaths of 39 people in a lorry trailer in Essex . Eamonn Harrison, from Mayobridge in Newry, County Down, was arrested on a domestic, unrelated matter at Dublin Port in October which has since been resolved.

A Northern Irish man has been arrested by police in connection with the deaths of 39 Vietnamese nationals who were recently discovered in a lorry in Essex.

Thames Valley Police have detained a 23-year-old man on suspicion of conspiracy to traffic people and conspiracy to assist unlawful immigration.

A spokesperson said: “A 23-year-old man from Northern Ireland was arrested by officers from Thames Valley Police on behalf of Essex Police in the early hours of this morning on the M40 in Beaconsfield in connection with our enquiry into the deaths of 39 Vietnamese nationals in a lorry trailer found in Grays.”

“He was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to traffic people and conspiracy to assist unlawful immigration, and remains in custody.”
