A woman has been left "extremely traumatised" after men forced their way into her South Belfast home.

Police say they received reports of the aggravated burglary in the Maryville Court area at around 5pm on Tuesday 3 December.

It's believed that one of the four men had a gun on his person as they ransacked the property, making off with a sum of money.

Detective Sergeant O’Flaherty said: "At approximately 5.00pm four unknown men knocked on the door of a house and when the female occupant opened the door, one of the men, who is believed to have had a gun, forced her into the property. The men then entered the house and proceeded to ransack it.
