Police are appealing for information in a bid to trace two teenagers reported missing from West Lothian.

Omar Ali, 16, and Ahmed Elgendy, 17, were last seen at around 3pm on Monday, December 9 in Kirknewton.

Cops believe the teens are together and may have travelled to Edinburgh on public transport.

Sergeant Stuart Gilmour said: “We believe that Omar and Ahmend are together and would ask that any members of the public who may have seen them since Monday afternoon get in touch with police immediately.

Omar is described as around five feet, ten inches tall, with short black hair and of slim build.

When last seen he was wearing a waist length black jacket, camouflage bottoms and black Nike trainers.

Ahmed is described as being around five feet four inches tall, of slim build, with short black hair and facial hair.

He was wearing a blue puffer jacket, and either camouflage jogging bottoms or blue jeans.

Both boys speak limited English and their first language is Arabic.
