Morgan Sanson has been short of fitness and playing time this season, amassing only 42 minutes of football as he’s been on the periphery in 2021/22. The 27-year-old, who has barely played for Villa in the last 10 months due to injury woes, has spent the campaign sidelined with a knee problem, causing him to miss all but one game. Sanson is on the recovery trail, however, returning to training ahead of Saturday’s meeting with Wolverhampton Wanderers. The French midfielder posted a picture on Instagram to mark his comeback.
