The party of Vital Kamerhe reacts after the condemnation of the latter to 20 years of forced labor for the embezzlement of several tens of millions of dollars as part of the "100 days program" of the Congolese head of state. The lawyers for Félix Tshisekedi's chief of staff have already announced their intention to appeal this judgment at first instance. The Union for the Congolese Nation (UNC) says it still believes in the innocence of its president and supports its appeal.

Note that relatives of Vital Kamerhe, wife, daughter-in-law and nephew, who were only witnesses, should have their accounts and some of their properties seized.
