Drugs mule Michaella McCollum appears to be studying criminology.

The convicted drug smuggler, 24, hinted at her new interest in a recent Instagram post.

She shared a picture of the Oxford Handbook of Criminology alongside some printed notes with followers.

It appears she is now learning about and researching the subject, which is described as "the study of crime and criminals."

Two men have appeared in court charged in connection with an investigation into the international supply of drugs following raids on a premises in Ashbourne Co Meath on Wednesday. Michael Smullen (31) from Ashdale Close in Kinsealy Co Dublin, and Keith Donoghue (37) from Swift Grove in Clonshaugh in Dublin 17, were brought before Trim District Court this morning.Both were charged with possession of drugs and possession with drugs for sale or supply.
