  Search for young Irish woman missing in France A young Irish woman has gone missing in the south-east of France. Eimear Noonan, from Clare, has gone missing from her home Annonay, located approximately 76km south of Lyon.The young woman, aged in her twenties, was last seen on Wednesday afternoon.She is currently working as a teacher in the small French town. Eimear's family are today travelling to Lyon to assist with the ongoing search.Family and friends of Eimear are appealing for information on her whereabouts and have launched a social media campaign.A post appealing for information has gained thousands of shares in less than 12 hours.

Updated: 11th November 2017, 3:00 pm. GARDAI in Irishtown are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery of an elderly woman at a bus stop . After a struggle to rob her handbag, the man made off with nothing.

Google Maps © Google Maps Google Maps An elderly woman was rushed to St Vincent's Hospital following a violent attempted robbery.

The woman in her 70s was waiting at a bus stop on Newgrove Avenue, Sandymount when she was approached by a lone male believed to be in his 20s.

The incident occurred shortly before 7pm on Friday, November 10.

Despite a struggle, the woman managed to hold on to her bag but sustained a number of injuries and was taken to St Vincent's Hospital for treatment.

Her injuries are described as non-life threatening.

Gardai in Irishtown are keen to speak to anyone who may have been at the bus stop on Newgrove Avenue last night or anyone with information to contact Irishtown Garda Station 01 6669600, The Confidential Line 1 800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
