Hundreds gathered outside the restaurant in the hope of catching a glimpse of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

A two-course meal in the restaurant costs €34, leaving their bill at €68, not including the drinks.

The couple arrived at around 12.45pm and stayed until after 2pm.

Restaurant manager Grace Davis said the couple were very down to earth.

She told The Irish Daily Mail: "Harry and Meghan were absolutely lovely and friendly and very down-to-earth.

"They had no desserts, they were too full so they just had some coffee.

"The toilets are at the very back and it is an open concept kitchen. They were in a small private snug, but you have to go all the way past the kitchen to go to the toilet so they each stuck their head into the kitchen to say hello which was really special."
