Two teenagers were lucky not to be robbed only for the intervention of locals in Clontarf just over a week ago.

Newstalk report that the teens were chased down Conquer Hill road with the gang hoping to steal their phones and jackets, only for adults intervened.

In the past week it has also been reported that a 15-year-old boy was mugged at knife point near St Anne's Park.

Locals said the boy had his phone stolen and is very traumatised by what happened.

The gangs that have terrorised Malahide and Portmarnock for the past few months are now believed to be targeting Clontarf.

Some have suggested setting up a vigilante group as they try to tackle the increasingly dangerous behaviour. Dublin Live has previously reported on the gangs that are terrorising residents in the Fingal area. One incident in Rush last night saw a teen allegedly attacked by a gang of more than 20 youths who were attempting to take his phone.
