Met Éireann has issued a status yellow snow - ice warning for Ireland . Scattered sleet and snow showers are forecast and will be most frequent across Ulster and Connacht. Met Éireann said that some showers would affect central and eastern areas at times, with the odd flurry further south.
It looks like we might be getting another snowy March as Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow warning for snow and ice.
So it’s time to make sure that you’re wrapped up!
The weather warning is in place from 11pm on Saturday night until 6am on Monday morning and is valid for the whole country.

According to Met Éireann, ‘Scattered thundery showers of hail, sleet and snow expected during the period.’
The national forecaster warned that there will be poor visibility as well as slippery and icy conditions.

There is also a Status Yellow wind warning for Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Clare, Kerry and Limerick.
It is valid from 4am on Sunday morning until midnight that night.
Met Éireann describes the wind warning as ‘West to northwest winds will reach mean speeds of 50 to 65km/h and gusts of 90 to 110kmh, strongest in coastal areas.’
While it will be quite chilly today, it looks like it may brighten up for the rest of the week, as Tuesday is reportedly said to be ‘bright’, although there will be heavy rain showers in the afternoon.
