Gardaí arrest man in relation to violent car-jacking which left woman 'shaken' A man was arrested this morning by gardai investigating the hijacking of a car from a woman early on Wednesday morning. The woman, aged in her sixties, was left shaken by her ordeal during which two men pulled her from the car as she waited in it to carpool with someone else. 

A robber brazenly walked through a crowded Hamilton bar before placing a gun on the counter and demanding money from staff . The two terrified women working at the bar had no choice but to hand over a substantial amount of cash in the midst of the dinner rush on Saturday night.

An armed robber fled with a four-figure sum after threatening three female members of staff at a bank in South Lanarkshire. Police said the man produced a bladed weapon and demanded money at the Royal Bank of Scotland branch in Lesmahagow at 11:55. He escaped across Abbeygreen Park and

A man armed with a knife has escaped with a sum of cash after robbing a shop in the Churchtown area of south Dublin last night.

The lone man ran into a small supermarket on Beaumont Avenue in Churchtown at around 9.30pm and demanded cash from staff.

The raider, who was wearing a dark baseball cap and had his face covered, left the scene on foot with what is believed to be a small sum of cash.

Thee were no reports of injuries but staff were left shaken after the man allegedly went behind the counter and threatened them during the robbery.

Gardaí in Dundrum are investigating.
