Shocking footage has emerged of a man being attacked on a Dublin Bus after allegedly trying to steal a phone.

The man was attacked by a group on Tuesday while on a bus travelling down the Naas Road.

In the distressing footage, three men can be seen punching his head on the bus before dragging him onto the street, Dublin Live reports.

The attack is understood to have taken place after he allegedly attempted to steal a phone.

Emergency services later attended the scene.

A Dublin Bus spokesman confirmed to Dublin Live that they are investigating the matter.
