Footage has emerged of a young man hanging on to the back of a moving Dublin Bus.

The shocking video shows the man hanging on the back of the 40C bus as it travels through Finglas.

He can be seen wearing a backpack as he crouches on the back of the bus and grips the grill.

The scary scenes are captioned with "There are no words...".

Dublin Bus confirmed to Dublin Live that they are investigating the incident and said they "strongly discourage" such reckless behaviour.

A spokesman said: "Dublin Bus is investigating this incident. The action shown in this footage is unsafe and extremely dangerous.

Yesterday, shocking footage emerged of a group of men attacking another man after he allegedly attempted to steal someone's phone.

Gardai said they are appealing for witnesses as they attempt to identify those involved.
