Gardaí are investigating after a number of shots were fired at a house on Dublin 's northside. The incident occurred shortly before 6 am on St. Attracta Shots were fired at the front of the house , but no injuries have been reported. Gardai have not made any arrests and the scene is sealed off pending

The incident, which happened in Finglas on Saturday night, has been condemned by Labour Councillor in the area, Andrew Montague.

He told FM104 on Monday morning that residents were furious about the horrific event and that these actions in the capital need to stop immediately.

He told the station: "There's a lot of anger in the community about it.

"People are very upset that this is happening in their community and that their community has been associated with this.

GARDAI are investigating after shots were fired at a house last night. A spokesman said: "Gardai at Finglas in Dublin are investigating reports of shots fired at Cappagh Drive, Finglas at approximately 10.50pm last night, Saturday 13th April 2019.

He added: "We really need to put an end to this violence and stop these shootings."

Gardai are still on the hunt for the gunman who fired the shots at the house in Cappagh Drive.

No injuries or serious damage was reported while a garda spokesperson said the investigation is ongoing.

They said: "Gardai at Finglas in Dublin are investigating reports of shots fired at Cappagh Drive, Finglas at approximately 10.50pm last night, Saturday 13th April 2019.

"Gardai responded to the call. No injuries or damage were reported. Investigations are continuing."
