Irish Rail have issued a warning to customers over the potential of delays to and from Dublin train stations.

Customers are advised to check their times before travelling this weekend as there are a number of service alterations due to engineering and construction works.

Dublin to Galway and Dublin to Westport services have a number of alterations due to the construction of an underpass on the Athlone to Mullingar Greenway, as well as some track works.

There are also alterations to DART services to Malahide, Northern Commuter and Enterprise services due to service works between Clongriffin and Malahide.

Irish Rail has announced major works which will cause disruption to train services across the country over the Easter Weekend . Services to and from Heuston from Cork, Limerick and Kerry will operate as a bus service between Heuston and Newbridge and a train service for the remainder of the route

A special timetable is in operation on all routes over the long weekend.

On Good Friday, DART and Commuter services will operate a Saturday service with some alterations, Intercity and Cork Commuter services will operate with some alterations.

As for Saturday, the normal Saturday service will continue, although some minor alterations will operate.

If you're planning on travelling on Easter Sunday or Monday, DART and Commuter will operate a Sunday service with some alterations Intercity services will operate with some alterations

Due to the rugby match between Leinster and Toulouse at the Aviva on Sunday, there will be extra DARTs. Grand Canal Dock will be closed between 16:30 and 18:15 at the request of the Gardaí.
