Boy, 13, dies after being pulled from water in North Wales A 13-year-old boy has died after he was recovered from the water off the coast of North Wales. Police said the teenager was rescued by coastguards at Pigeon's Cove, on the Great Orme in Llandudno, at about 9.20pm on Saturday. He was airlifted to hospital but later died. A HM Coastguard spokeswoman said a member of the public had called 999 at about 8.55pm to report a person in the water.

An elderly man whose quad bike toppled on top of him has been airlifted to hospital.

The 74-year-old farmer was driving the bike on his farm, east of Donegal town, this afternoon when the accident occurred.

The Sligo Coast Guard rescue helicopter 118 was dispatched to the scene and has transported the man to Sligo University Hospital where his condition is not presently known.
