A young teen was left hospitalised after being attacked by a gang of up to 15 youths in North Dublin.

Gardaí are investigating after the 15-year-old was taken to Temple Street with a cut to his eye and lip after being set upon by the gang.

The incident happened in Rivervalley Park in Swords on Saturday evening with a garda spokesperson telling Dublin Live that enquiries are ongoing.

They said: "Gardaí in Swords are investigating an incident that occurred on 15-year-old male in the Rivervalley Park area of Swords, County Dublin on the 11th of May 2019 at approximately 8.30pm.
