Tributes have been pouring in for two pals who were shot dead in separate shootings in North Dublin.

The shootings took place in the space of less than 24 hours and claimed the lives of Sean Little and Jordan Davis.

The body of Little, 22 was discovered beside a burning car at a laneway near Balbriggan on Tuesday night.

Davis, 22, who was killed on Wednesday afternoon in North Dublin, was carrying his baby son when he spotted the gunman and ran for his life.

Jordan Davis posted a tribute to his friend Sean Little on Facebook minutes before he was shot Detectives believe the murder of Mr Little late on Tuesday night in north Co Dublin was linked to the Garda at the scene of a fatal shooting at Walshestown, North Co Dublin , on Wednesday morning.

He was blasted to death a short distance away in Marigold Road, Darndale, pursued by the hitman on a bicycle.

Two comments underneath a picture of Davis and his baby - who he was holding just moments before he was shot down - read: "You were a boss always, love you" and "lovely fella and such a beautiful child"

A pal said: "Omg in shock can’t get over it. RIP Jordan Davis send love to all your friends and family."

Another added: "Can’t believe it, look over your family, Lu and your little boy. Rest In Peace  Jordan Davis , heartbreaking".

A third said: "Rest In Peace Jordan Davis ️heartbreaking, thinking of all the family sleep tight".
