Dublin Fire Brigade have issued a stern warning to restaurant owners after a fire broke out in the Irish capital last night.

Firefighters from Dolphins Barn rushed to the scene of a fire after it was first reported on Wednesday evening.

According to the Dublin Fire Brigade’s Twitter account, the blaze broke out after a gas pipe was ruptured when an appliance was shifted for cleaning.

Fortunately, the staff quickly realised the source of the fire and shut down the gas supply – saving the restaurant from being completely destroyed.

However, following the blaze, Dublin Fire Brigade urged restaurant owners to check the condition of their own pipes to prevent similar incidents from occurring.
