The weather this week hasn’t been particularly kind and it appears it will continue in the same vein for the rest of the week.

A yellow weather warning across Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo will end at 9am on Thursday, but that doesn’t mean we’ve seen the last of the bad stuff.

Met Eireann has predicted that we’re in for rain every day this week and into the early part of next week.

Carlow Weather’s Alan O’Reilly has gone one step further an indicated that we could be facing Storm Miguel before long.

Writing on Wednesday night, Carlow Weather’s update read: ‘A lot of uncertainty on the exact track of Storm #Miguel for Friday evening with a risk of the east coast getting some heavy rain if it tracks a little further west.

As for Met Eireann, its forecast suggests that the morning rain will be worse than the afternoon when bright conditions prevail and temperatures reach as high as 15 degrees in southeast.
