Mourners have arrived to pay their respects to Philomena Lynott in Dublin this afternoon.

The mother of Thin Lizzy star Phil Lynott will be laid to rest today after a battle with lung cancer. She was 88 years old at the time of her passing.

‘I am really proud that we were able to participate in telling her remarkable story,’ he said referring to My Boy. ‘Because she was indeed a remarkable woman.’

‘She was hugely determined and courageous — and absolutely committed to the campaign to ensure that Philip’s memory was kept alive and his legacy celebrated.’
