WEST MONROE, N.Y. -- A Central Square man was killed early Monday morning in a motorcycle crash in Oswego County, according to the New York State Police. State police were called to county Route 37 and Woodworth Road in the town of West Monroe at 5:40 a.m. for the crash .

The crash happened on the M9 southbound just after Junction 10, Knocktopher, Co Kilkenny at around 8am.

A garda spokesman said: "A man, aged in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been removed to University Hospital Waterford.

"The road remains closed southbound currently and local diversions are in place. The scene is due to be examined by Garda Forensic Investigators."

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have information, or any motorists who may have been travelling on the M9 near Junction 10 at the time of the collision, to contact Gardaí in Thomastown on 056 775 4150 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.

A man in his 20's has died following a collision between a van and a car on the N11, Co Wexford early this morning . The man ’s body has been taken to Wexford General Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The van driver, a man in his 40 s , was also taken to Wexford hospital with minor injuries.

The crash happened early this morning on Bingley Road , at the junction with Toller Lane. At the family home in Bradford last night, Mr Chaudhry’s heartbroken father Istfar Iqbal, 40 Mohammed Rashid, 51, who lives 500 yards from the crash scene, said the men killed in the vehicle 'were lovely local lads'.
