'Very vulnerable' London girl, 15, feared abducted in Malaysia Police in Malaysia are treating the disappearance of a "very vulnerable" 15-year-old London girl as an abduction and a missing person case, a charity has said. Nora Quoirin, who has learning difficulties, went missing while on a family holiday in the southeast Asian country. She vanished at the weekend in a resort near Seremban, around 40 miles south of the capital Kuala Lumpur. The Lucie Blackman Trust (LBT) said Nora's father raised the alarm when he discovered she was missing from her bedroom at 8am on Sunday and her window was open.

Police in Malaysia believe that missing Irish girl Nora Quoirin left her bedroom by herself.

Nora, 15, went missing from the room of a rented house near Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.

The teenager, who has learning difficulties, had checked in with family shortly before she was last seen at the home.

Nora’s family believe that she was abducted from the home, but police in Malaysia have said that they believe that she left the house of her own volition.

Police chief Datuk Mohamad Mat Yusop said evidence collected from of of Nora’s siblings suggests that she left the home through an open window.

It had originally been suggested that Nora had been abducted through the window.

Mr Mat Yusop said: ‘A search of the girl’s room at the resort did not turn up any evidence of a criminal element in her disappearance.

‘The victim’s sister noticed that one of the windows in the room was opened on the morning she went missing, and believes Nora had gone out the window herself.

‘The case is being treated as a missing person case. We deny reports in the foreign media linking this case to any criminal element or abduction.’

More than 100 police officers, along with a number of sniffer dogs were drafted in to search an area of jungle near where Nora went missing.
